Nineteen of the Russian's 21 championships have been earned on hard surfaces
A revitalized Daniil Medvedev won his initial trophy for over two years with a win over Corentin Moutet in the competition title decider.
Medvedev, a former number one, has experienced a torrid season, managing just one match at the big events and suffering a difficult moment at the American major.
The player's varied form on the professional circuit - and issues with his serve in especial - resulted in him dropping out of the elite rankings and ultimately parting ways with long-time trainer Cervara.
Currently training with his coach and his other coach, the tennis star has gradually progressed in the past month - climaxing in a closely contested 7-5 4-6 6-3 victory over Frenchman Moutet.
This marks Medvedev's first championship since the Italian tournament and maiden on a hard court since spring of 2023.
The win also means Medvedev has achieved twenty-one titles at 21 distinct competitions.
"For the first time I am participating in a tournament with my two daughters simultaneously, so to secure a championship is particularly special," said ranked player Medvedev.
"This championship is in tribute of my younger daughter her name, because the initial championship I got when my first daughter Alisa was born was for her."
The tennis star, the past champion, had failed in his past six championship matches, featuring in Halle in the past months.
Medvedev's retrieving approach and recurring emotional displays on the tennis court had caused observers to doubt if his capacity to perform at the highest level was over.
However the 29-year-old has altered his approach in recent weeks, attempting to come to the net and perform positively, supported by an enhanced serving game.
The champion recovered from a disadvantage in the opening set against the difficult Frenchman, winning four of the last five games to take the lead.
The pair swapped break points in the following set before Moutet, striving for his maiden ATP Tour championship, seized the initiative to create a third set.
Moutet rescued 4 early break points in a close third set before the Russian secured a break to fifteen to serve for the match.
Suitably, Medvedev clinched the title with a point at the net area, with Moutet failing to control a volley after over two and a half hours.
