WThis is a simplified interpretation of a drink featured on the seasonal drinks list. It's a batch premix which is loaded with essence of a festive period, rendering it perfect for hosting a holiday party. Reserve the remaining syrup for breakfast cocktails, desserts, or to mix more rounds of the drink.

For the Citrus Syrup (produces 750ml)
300ml newly squeezed clementine juice
200ml recently pressed lemon juice
500g granulated sugar
Ingredients for the Premix (produces 850ml, serving 10)
400ml good quality vodka
100ml London dry gin
150ml peach-flavored liqueur
200ml citrus syrup (see above)
Fresh cranberries, as a garnish
Mandarin essential oil, as a final touch
Instructions
Making the Cordial: Put the listed components in a saucepan, heat until it reaches a light boil, stirring so the sugar melts. Next, remove from the burner and leave to cool entirely. Transfer into an sterilised bottle, seal and store in the fridge, it will last for about one month.
For the Batch Mix: Combine the specified liquid ingredients into one sizeable container, leave to sit for 60 minutes, then strain preferably using a fine cloth, so it's completely strained.
For serving: Measure 85ml of the premix into a cocktail shaker containing ice, and stir gently for one minute to chill. Filter into an cold coupe glass or equivalent, garnish with some cranberries and complete it with a light spray of mandarin oil over the top.
